There is a rumor floating around that the current protests about the Government’s Clean Feed scheme will be stepped up a notch. Apparently a growing number of die hard online activists within Australia and globally are becoming restless with Senator Conroy’s unpreparedness to dump the scheme.

There will be some that will use the Liberal National Party’s staggering loss on Saturday (21/03/09) as a good reason to split the party. Merged party supporters must be cringing at the months coming with hardliners like Mal Brough champing at the bit to pull the party apart. Lawrence Springborg was a spent force the first time he ran as leader of the Liberals, let alone the front for the new Liberal National Party. And as some commentators have already noted the merged party was really the Liberals taking over the much more successful Nationals.

Please Note: this post has nothing to do with politics, climate change, political parties, or other such party apparachik stuff. It’s about sports…yes that’s right, sports. I’m pretty stoked that the footy is back (ie Australian Rugby Union (ARU) and the other footy Australian Football League (AFL))!
