There is a rumor floating around that the current protests about the Government’s Clean Feed scheme will be stepped up a notch. Apparently a growing number of die hard online activists within Australia and globally are becoming restless with Senator Conroy’s unpreparedness to dump the scheme.

Apart from being technically flawed, the proposal represents a further erosion in the rights of Australians. Conroy first raised the spectre of this diminution of human rights in December 2007, not one month into the Rudd Labor government. Since then he has proven inept and ineffective and unwilling to acknowledge the technical limitations of his proposal. It’s been nearly 18 months since the election of the Rudd Government and Senator Conroy continues to under-perform and under-whelm.

Not surprising if a growing number of online activists are becoming tired of Conroy’s and the Government’s refusal to back away from more violations of Australians’ human rights.

  1. As an addendum, it’s pretty unlikely there would be any effort by either Australian or international electronic activists would launch online actions against Senator Conroy.

There’s fair bigger fish to fry like the G20 meeting.
