This piece in support of ActionAid Australia’s Project TOTO latest initiative Tech4Change Blog Day action. I’ve written a lot about technology and how it can be used for social and progressive change.

I’ve been blogging for a long time about a wide range of things, mostly politics. (Okay it’s been nearly all politics.) I’ve provided my personal commentary on politics; on political parties; on environmental issues like climate change, logging and the Port Phillip Bay dredging; on human rights; about political and issue-based campaigning; live blogs covering elections and online campaigning. I blog about campaigns that I support or highlighted interesting new ways to engage people through social media and Internet technologies. I even blogged about sport.

One of the tools available to the online activist is the world of picture sharing sites. picture sharing sites are just that, sites where people upload and share their pictures with their friends; their family; the sites’ respective communities; and the rest of the world. There are loads of picture sharing websites with a range of functionalities.
