The AFL Grand Final
I was watching today’s grand final in the Australian Football League (AFL), not because my team was in the final but because it’s what you do when you live in Victoria.
After the build up to the day and the grand final parade, the final outcome was anti-climatic to say the least. The game itself was well played with signs of brilliance and some great passages of play.
For the game to end in a draw is a disappointment.
However, while the result is a disappointment, it also means that the Magpies didn’t win and we don’t have to suffer Eddie Macguire’s (Collingwood club president and over-exposed media personality) ego – well at least not this week. So with no outcome, St Kilda and Collingwood are set to replay the final next Saturday at 2:30pm.
It’s going to be a long week for footy fans.
