At ad:tech Melbourne and Social Media Summit
It’s exciting working in the industry that I do. There is always something happening and very rarely does a day go past that there isn’t something different to be working on. But this week is quite an exciting week for a couple of reasons.
1. I’ll be part of a panel at ad:tech Melbourne on Wednesday (tomorrow) afternoon. If you’re not certain about ad:tech, this is what they have to say (grabbed from their ‘About’ page)
ad:tech is the leading event for the digital marketing and advertising community in Australia and New Zealand. ad:tech Australia has continuously served the interactive marketing space. We have an excellent reputation for delivering:
- content that educates and promotes the industry
- thought leadership keynote addresses that inspire and enthuse
- vibrant and contentious panel debates that influence the direction of the industry
- well respected platforms showcasing the best in new technology and services
- numerous unique networking opportunities to expand and deepen critical industry relations
Based in North Sydney, ad:tech has captured the attention of the Australian market place because of its commitment to furthering the digital landscape.
The panel is called Next Generation Social Media Strategy. We’ll be concentrating on social media strategies for the next generation – a sort of look into the crystal ball based on our collective wisdom. It’ll prove to be an interesting session with the likes of Stephen Johnson being part of the panel, fresh back from his stint over at SXSW.
2. I’ll be co-presenting at the Corporate Social Media Summit being held in Sydney. The conference is courtesy of Informa. From their website:
Informa has cut through the noise surrounding the surprisingly simple and outlandishly relevant topic of social media, distilling a room full of corporate social media gurus who have brought this medium into the mainstream and are transforming traditional corporate organisations.
And they’re saving the best till last.
We’ll explore how social media is helping to build unionism through greater participation and engagement. There are important lessons to learn and real world experiences to draw from that will leave attendees seeking to use these techniques. It should prove to be a session you don’t want to miss.
If you’re at either conference please come by and say hello.
