Australian Politics in 2011 in One Word
It has been a pretty amazing year in politics.
From the time the minority government was settled upon and right up until the final day of sitting in Parliament, it’s been a turbulent, exciting and at times very frustrating year. From the carbon price to the mineral resource rent tax to gay marriage and asylum seekers.
It’s been one of those years where there’s something in it for all armchair and professional commentators alike to latch onto and comment on.
Instead of offering my ten cents about the year of politics that was right now, I’d love to hear how others would describe it.
So in one word (you can use more if you wish) how would you describe the past year in Australian politics?
As an alternative game you might like to describe the performances of Tony Abbott, Julia Gillard and Bob Brown over the last year using the first letter of their first and last names. For example Tony Abbott = totally absent or Bob Brown = blisteringly brilliant
Over to you.

Thanks Karen and Ian for your contributions. They’re both great words to describe the political year.
